Unter der gemeinsamen Leitung von Prof. Dr. Lukas Löhlein, Prof. Dr. Marko Reimer und Prof. Dr. Utz Schäffer ist das Institut für Management und Controlling (IMC) ein führender Think Tank im Bereich Unternehmenssteuerung und Controlling, das sowohl Theorien und Methoden aus den Wirtschaftswissenschaften als auch aus den Sozialwissenschaften (Organisationslehre, Soziologie) aufgreift, anwendet und erweitert.
Ihre Aufgaben
Arbeiten Sie an spannenden Forschungsthemen:
Management und Digitalisierung: Wie werden Business Analytics, Künstliche Intelligenz oder Predictive Analytics die Finanzfunktion und das Controlling beeinflussen?
Accounting für das Unmessbare: Wie können Organisationen „Nachhaltigkeit“, „Diversität“, „Impact“, „Agilität“ und andere nicht messbare Ideen messen und kontrollieren? Was sind mögliche Nebenwirkungen?
Management der Zivilgesellschaft: Wie organisieren und kontrollieren nicht-traditionelle Organisationen und Bewegungen ihre Aktivitäten? Wie übernehmen, modifizieren oder widersetzen sie sich Managementideen und -konzepten?
Oder melden Sie sich gerne mit eigenen Ideen.
Ihr Profil
Starkes Interesse an qualitativ-interdisziplinärer Forschung: Verknüpfen Sie Erkenntnisse aus den Sozialwissenschaften mit aktuellen Herausforderungen des Managements!
Ein hohes Maß an Neugier und Lust an Beobachtung und Interpretation von organisationalen Prozessen und Dynamiken.
Einen sehr guten Hochschulabschluss auf Master-Niveau (Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Management, Soziologie, Kulturstudien, Politikwissenschaften, etc.)

Under the joint directorship of Prof. Lukas Löhlein, Prof. Marko Reimer and Prof. Utz Schäffer, the Institute of Management Accounting and Control (IMC) is a leading think tank in management accounting and control, that features and encourages the use of concepts, theories, and methods from economics as well as social sciences (organization studies, sociology).
Your mission
Work on exciting research questions like:
Management and Digitalization: How do business analytics, artificial intelligence, or predictive analytics change our understanding of management and organizing?
Accounting for the Unmeasurable: How can organizations measure and control for “sustainability,” “diversity,” “impact,” “agility” and other unmeasurable ideas? What are the potential side effects?
Civil Society Management:How do non-traditional organizations and movements organize and control their activities? How do they adopt, modify, or resist management ideas and concepts?

Your profile
Strong interest in pursuing qualitative-interdisciplinary research and combining insights from social sciences with contemporary management challenges.
High degree of curiosity and desire for innovative thinking.
Very good master-level university degree (in economics, management, sociology, cultural studies, political sciences, etc.).
