Ihre Aufgaben
Die Fertigstellung der Dissertation - meist als eine Sammlung von drei Forschungsarbeiten - ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil Ihrer täglichen Arbeit
Alle veröffentlichten Forschungsarbeiten weisen eine starke Verbindung zur Managementpraxis auf
Das Grundgehalt ist ½ Position, da Ihre Hauptaufgabe darin besteht, Ihre Dissertation in 2 bis 3 Jahren fertigzustellen
Der Besuch des Ph.D.-Programms der Kellogg's School of Management für ein Semester wird empfohlen und finanziell unterstützt (nach Genehmigung durch die Partneruniversität). Die Kandidatin oder der Kandidat muss nachweisen, wie dieser Besuch ihre oder seine Forschung direkt unterstützt
Die Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten sind in sehr begrenztem Umfang mit administrativer Arbeit des Lehrstuhls beschäftigt, d. h. sie beaufsichtigen und benoten Prüfungen und fungieren als Mitleser von Abschlussarbeiten in ihrem Forschungsgebiet
Ihr Profil
Sie sollten einen herausragenden Master-Abschluss in General Management, Operations Management oder einer relevanten Disziplin, z. B. Data Analytics, Ingenieurwesen, Mathematik, Operations Research, oder ähnlich haben und über einen Nachweis Ihres Modellierungs- oder empirischen Forschungspotenzials verfügen
Erfahrung in den folgenden Bereichen erhöht die Chancen auf Akzeptanz: Data Analytics/Machine Learning, Lean Manufacturing, Logistik- und Supply Chain Management, Retail Analytics, integriertes Risiko Management, Modellierung von Realoptionen oder Operations Strategy Formierung und Umsetzung
Sie sind in der Lage selbständig zu arbeiten, arbeiten gerne im Team und sind zielorientiert
Sie sollten über sehr gute englische Kommunikations- und Schreibkenntnisse verfügen

Your mission
The completion of the dissertation – mostly as a collection of three research papers – is an essential part of your day-to-day activities
All published research exhibits a strong link to management practice
The base salary is ½ position since your primary task is to complete your dissertation in 2 to 3 years
Attendance of the Ph.D. program of Kellogg’s School of Management for one term is recommended and financially supported (when approved by the partner university). The candidate must demonstrate how this visit directly supports his or her research
Candidates are to a very limited extent engaged in administrative work at the department, i.e., they proctor and grade exams an act as co-readers on theses in their area of research expertise
Your profile
You should hold an outstanding master’s degree in General Management or Operations Management or a relevant discipline e.g., Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, etc. and possess a record that demonstrates your modeling or empirical research potential
Experience with the following areas increases chances of acceptance: Data Analytics/Machine Learning, Lean Manufacturing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Retail Analytics, Operational and Financial Risk Management, Real Options Modeling, or Operations Strategy Formation and Deployment
You are able to work independently, enjoy working in teams and are goal oriented
You should have very strong English communication and writing skills
