The Institute of Management Accounting and Control (IMC) of WHU is a leading think tank in the area of management accounting and control. Under the joint directorship of Prof. Lukas Löhlein, Prof. Marko Reimer and Prof. Utz Schäffer, the institute bundles the numerous teaching and research activities of the associated professors and doctoral students.

General information
Your mission
- In close collaboration with the IMC faculty and the WHU's central Marketing Department, you will develop and implement marketing and communication initiatives for the Institute.
- You will manage and further develop our social media presence – particularly on LinkedIn – including editorial planning, content creation, and community management.
- You will create flyers, presentations, and other marketing materials.
- You will analyze the reach and performance of our marketing and communication activities and derive appropriate optimization measures.
- You will support our teams and coordinate photographers and external service providers during our events, academic conferences, guest lectures, and interviews (including occasional evening events).
- You will maintain and further develop the Institute's website and other digital communication channels.
Your profile
- Successfully completed degree or vocational qualification in marketing, communications, media, or a related field.
- Initial professional experience in marketing, social media, or corporate communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English, combined with the ability and enthusiasm to communicate complex academic topics in a clear and audience-oriented manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and content management systems is an advantage.
- A structured, independent, and reliable working style, combined with creativity, strong teamwork skills, and enthusiasm for working in an international academic environment.
