General information

WHU is looking for a full-time Manager Career Center (f/m/d) at the Düsseldorf campus to start as soon as possible.
The Career Center enables successful interactions among companies, WHU students and alumni.
By conducting numerous career activities for students of all Düsseldorf programs, we offer occupational orientation and an exciting platform for networking with company representatives and alumni. We aim to support students on their path to finding out what they want to do in their professional lives, to help them reach their goals, and to facilitate a smooth transition from student life to work life.

This position is initially a one-year fixed-term contract with the potential to become extended or permanent.

Your mission

  • Provide career counseling and document reviews (CVs, cover letters) to students in the Master of Science in Finance program, including both International and German students
  • Participate in the design and delivery of career-related workshops and activities
  • Communicate and collaborate with members of our extensive network of alumni, company representatives, and students
  • Coordinate and deliver recruiting events, company presentations, networking formats, and career activities in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, corporate partners, and alumni
  • Collaborate closely with the Career Center team across campuses to ensure aligned communication, coordinated employer engagement, and a seamless experience for companies recruiting across multiple MSc programs
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest career development trends, tools, technology, thought leaders, and more
  • Support with tasks, including but not limited to collecting statistics and data, creating reports, and communicating with recruiters

Your profile

  • Academic degree in business, psychology, communications, HR, or related fields
  • Experience in recruitment or talent acquisition in finance or business industries, and/or in a higher education career services role preferred
  • Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills in English. Fluency in German would be an asset
  • High level of flexibility, including willingness to run career events on evenings and weekends
  • Display creativity, initiative, and a positive attitude in carrying out responsibilities
  • The ability to be a strong team player, as well as to work independently in a multi-cultural environment
