General information

As Managing Director (f/m/d), or Co-Director (f/m/d), you will help build the newly established Center for Leadership Excellence. The primary focus will be on implementing the Center’s vision and mission.

Our aspiration is to position our business school as a leading European hub for leadership excellence, known for shaping leaders and organizations that create long-term value for business, society, and the planet”.

This is a full-time position, which can also be split into two part-time positions of 50% each. The position is initially limited to two years but may be made permanent thereafter. Long-term funding for the Center is being pursued.

Your mission

  • Securing financial funding to further expand the Center
  • Development of a communication strategy for the Center and operational implementation of this strategy across social and traditional media
  • Conducting practice-oriented studies on current leadership topics in business
  • Planning and executing events for the Center
  • Building a practice-oriented network on leadership at the top management level
  • Collaborating with internal WHU stakeholders and external partners to promote leadership across WHU’s various educational programs
  • Planning and organizing practice-oriented training formats on leadership

Your profile

  • Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Experience in conducting practice-oriented research projects
  • Experience in project and/or event management
  • Experience in delivering workshops, including preparation and follow-up, in the field of executive education (at the top management level)
  • Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach
  • Fluency in German and English
