Das Institut für Management und Controlling (IMC) der WHU ist ein führender Think Tank im Bereich Controlling und Unternehmenssteuerung. Unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Lukas Löhlein, Prof. Dr. Marko Reimer und Prof. Dr. Utz Schäffer bündelt das Institut die zahlreichen Forschungs-, Lehr- und Praxisaktivitäten der beteiligten Hochschullehrer, Mitarbeiter und Doktoranden.

​Die Stelle ist zunächst auf ein Jahr befristet, kann anschließend jedoch verlängert oder entfristet werden.
Ihre Aufgaben
  • Sie sind Mitglied der Herausgeber-Redaktion der etablierten Fachzeitschrift „Controlling & Management Review“, welche die Forderung nach einem stärkeren Austausch zwischen Wissenschaft und betriebswirtschaftlicher Praxis umsetzt
  • Sie kommunizieren mit Autoren und Verlag
  • Sie konzipieren und realisieren Heftausgaben
  • Sie redigieren Beiträge und verfassen selbständig Textelemente
  • Sie betreuen den Prozess der Druckfahnenkorrektur
  • Sie entwickeln die Zeitschrift durch Einbringung neuer Ideen weiter
Ihr Profil
  • Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (idealerweise, aber nicht zwingend, in Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Medien, Germanistik, Kommunikationswissenschaft oder Journalismus)
  • Gutes Sprachgefühl und sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
  • Eigenständige und strukturierte Arbeitsweise sowie sicherer Umgang mit MS Office
  • Hohe Sozial- und Teamkompetenz, ausgeprägte organisatorische Fähigkeiten

General information
The Institute of Management Accounting and Control (IMC) of WHU is a leading think tank in the area of management accounting and control. Under the joint directorship of Professor Lukas Löhlein, Professor Marko Reimer, and Professor Utz Schäffer, the institute bundles the numerous teaching and research activities of the associated professors and doctoral students.

​This position is initially a one-year fixed-term contract with the potential to become extended or permanent.
Your mission
  • You are a member of the editorial office working on the well-established “Controlling & Management Review”, a journal that bridges the gap between science and corporate practice
  • You communicate with authors and the publishing house
  • You conceptualise and realise issues of the journal
  • You edit articles and write your own textual elements
  • You are in charge of correcting the proofs
  • You drive the journal further based on your own ideas
Your profile
  • Academic degree (ideally but not necessarily with a background in business, media, German studies, communication studies or journalism)
  • Excellent feel for language and very good communication skills in German and English
  • Independent and well-structured way of working and very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent social and organisational skills as well as team spirit
