Wir suchen zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine Leitung (w/m/d) für den Bereich Controlling und Rechnungswesen an der WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. Als verantwortliche Führungskraft übernehmen Sie die Gesamtverantwortung für die entsprechenden Teams und unterstützen als Business Partner die Hochschulleitung, den WHU-Stiftungsvorstand und relevante interne Stakeholder bei strategischen Entscheidungen.
Ihre Aufgaben
Leitung des Controllings und der Finanzbuchhaltung
Verantwortung für die interne Transparenz bezüglich finanzieller und nichtfinanzieller Kenngrößen sowie die Erstellung von Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüssen
Unterstützung bei strategischen Entscheidungen von Hochschulleitung, Stiftung WHU und relevanten internen Stakeholdern
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Kostenstellenverantwortlichen und dezentralen Entscheidungsträgern
Weiterentwicklung der Berichts- und Steuerungsprozesse; Einsatz und Weiterentwicklung von digitalen Lösungen für den Bereich Controlling und Finanzbuchhaltung
Führung, Integration und Motivation der beiden Teams Controlling und Finanzbuchhaltung
Ihr Profil
Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich BWL oder Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, idealerweise mit Schwerpunkt Controlling oder Rechnungswesen
Einschlägige Berufserfahrung im Controlling
Analytisches Denkvermögen und Problemlösungskompetenz
Stark ausgeprägte Kommunikations- und Führungsstärke, Teamorientierung, Innovationswille und Durchsetzungsvermögen
Strategisches Denken gepaart mit Hands-on-Mentalität und Erfahrung in operativen Abläufen und Controlling-Systemen
Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse

We are looking for a Director of Finance & Controlling (f/m/d) at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management to start as soon as possible. As a responsible manager, you will assume overall responsibility for the relevant teams and support the university leadership team, the WHU Foundation Board and relevant internal stakeholders in strategic decisions as a business partner.
Your mission
Management of controlling and financial accounting
Responsibility for internal transparency with regard to both financial and non-financial indicators as well as the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Supporting strategic decisions of the university management, WHU Foundation and relevant internal stakeholders
Close cooperation with cost center managers and decentralized decision-makers
Further development of reporting and control processes; use and further development of digital solutions for controlling and financial accounting
Management, integration and motivation of the Controlling and Financial Accounting teams
Your profile
Completed studies in the field of business administration or industrial engineering, ideally with a focus on controlling or accounting
Relevant professional experience in controlling
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and leadership skills, team orientation, willingness to innovate and assertiveness
Strategic thinking paired with hands-on mentality and experience in operational processes and controlling systems
Very good German and English language skills
